Network of Hope
DISASTER AND OUTREACH MOBILIZATION
OF CHRISTIAN CHURCHES

Network of Hope is a coordinated mobilization of *Christian Churches to prepare to minister to the needs of our neighborhoods in the event of a hurricane or other disaster.

Our central location is in Manatee County where we are partnered with Manatee Religious Services, Manatee County Ministerial Association, Ministerial Fellowship of the Gulf Coast, and the Manatee County Pastors’ Fellowship.

In each county we coordinate our efforts with the County Emergency Management and their ESF15 lead organization as well as other disaster response organizations.  Besides developing teams to work in first response, we work to educate the members of our congregations on their Christian responsibilities and opportunities to minister in the event of a hurricane or other disaster.  We also provide training and resources for the churches involved.

In the event that there is no hurricane in our area or in close proximity, we will turn our preparation into a massive Christmas outreach to the needy of our county.

Network of Hope was begun after witnessing the devastation of the four Florida hurricanes of 2004.  We have come to recognize the opportunity and ability for the local churches to be a vital force in the immediate response to the individual and crucial needs of people in such a crisis.

We encourage all Churches to join us.

* As a Christian organization we work from a Christian premise.  It is not, however, necessary to be a Christian organization to be a part of Network of Hope.  We welcome all organizations that desire to help in post disaster response.
