In cooperation with Nancy Kenney of Network of Hope, Hide–Away Storage Services has offered to provide short term storage for churches wishing to participate in Network of Hope’s hurricane preparedness program. Hide-Away will provide free storage for hurricane victim supplies from June 1st through the weekend before Christmas of 2010 using the guidelines shown below.
What Do I Do Before Hurricane Season? Set up a plan in your church to assemble the recommended supplies (see Suggested Collections List). Then, coordinate for the delivery of your Off-Site Mobile containers (5 x 8 x 7) by contacting Buck Ramsey ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 941.782.0720) at Hide-Away to schedule the delivery of empty storage containers to the church grounds, and the subsequent pick up of full containers. Please contact Network of Hope at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it regarding the most appropriate contents and strategy regarding the filling of the containers for post hurricane relief. What Do I do during Hurricane Season? Please do not plan on a delivery of full containers during an actual hurricane. After the hurricane has passed, again contact Buck Ramsey to schedule the delivery of supplies to the area you designate. It will be important to coordinate the delivery so that church volunteers are there when the boxes are delivered. Have a plan in place that will allow immediate and concise action once a hurricane has hit an area that is within Hide-Away’s scope of operation. Delivery is free in the immediate Hide-Away service area, however there could be a delivery charge involved if delivery is required beyond 50 miles of a Hide-Away storage facility. You can see the location of Hide-Away facilities at our web site www.hideawaystorage.com. Please keep in mind that delivery is contingent upon the delivery area being accessible. And of course………pray! What do I do after Hurricane Season If no hurricanes hit, the items are to be distributed by the weekend before Christmas as a blessing to those in need around the Christmas holiday. Again, be in touch with Buck Ramsey at Hide-Away regarding the deliveries and pick-ups. Be in touch with Nancy Kenney of Network of Hope regarding events and/or outreaches that can be coordinated to use any unused items that were collected for post-hurricane relief. "And I, because of their actions and their imaginations, am about to come and gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see My glory." Isaiah 66:18
